How we spent our afternoon.

This is how the boys spent their afternoon. (well mixed with frequent trips to the swing and slide, so they could play "Mario and Bowser" and "Harry Potter")
$2.00 canvas from the Dollar Store. I told him he could do whatever he wanted and we would hang his artwork in his room.
When G. and I were grocery shopping, we found small pumpkins. T. was so excited to paint his.

This was such a great thing to be able to do outside - P. and I drank coffee and watched them create masterpieces!

Fall Fair 2010!

The caterpillar behind G. is one he made at school and he won an award for it at the fair!

The bouncy castle!

Daredevil G. on "Zero Gravity"

Roller coaster!

You can see in these pictures how quickly the sky changed as the boys were on the ferris wheel!

Fun house!

Forget what this is called but thank goodness T. could go on it. He loved it!

P. convinced G. to go on this ride - sorta like Drop Zone at Wonderland. But smaller. G. wasn't too sure....
Up they go!
Almost to the top!

Get ready guys!

'Cause it's a big drop! The looks on their faces say it all.
Obligatory faces through animal heads shot...
A very windy and cool day this year at the fair. We didn't even stay to eat as it was starting to rain. Lots of fun nonetheless! We'd never miss the fair!

Initials

I found these at Michael's and the boys had fun personalizing them for their rooms. Can't wait to get them hung up!

Crafts and a missing tooth!

I love this picture! Just had to include it.

I've been keeping the boys busy after school and in the mornings before we leave.
And they LOVE it!

Guess who lost his first top tooth today? He looks so different, I think!
More crafts!

Third week of school is going well. G. has been doing his homework and T. is getting used to the idea of going to JK. We're all fighting colds this week, but so far we're getting over them quickly!

T"s first day of JK!

This is proof that we now have two children in school: two backpacks at 8:30am ready at the door for a day at school!
I washed this outfit for him last night as he's already worn it since getting it on Monday!
This is our first 'first day of school' where we couldn't do pictures outside in front of our shrub. So we improvised.

Ready with his backpack on!
It really is true that the backpacks are almost as big as the kids!

I think G. was feeling a tad left out. He's always been the one having a 'first day of school'. So we had him join in!

LOVE this raincoat! We waited outside until the bell rang. I had BIG butterflies in my tummy at this point. I was nervous, sad, excited and so happy all at the same time. T. was cool as a cucumber and was jumping all over the place in and out of the puddles.

The bell rang and Mrs. B. told T. to go to his hook and put his coat and bag on it and then wait outside of her door. Can you just see the excitement in his eyes? This is when I had to hold back tears. I clearly remember exactly 4 years ago, being at this same spot with G. and T. was in my arms as a newborn. It goes so fast. I wish someone had told me just how fast. Crazy fast.
We waited at the door for a bit and I could kind of see T. getting a little antsy and Mrs. B. was coming down the hall, so I gave him a kiss and a hug and made a quick exit. I wanted the first walk into the classroom to be a happy one for him. And it was - yay!
When I picked him up this afternoon I asked him 'what was your favourite part of the day?' and he said 'everything'. That told me that it was a really good day! I am so happy for him as he starts this new adventure! I have a feeling he's going to love it and thrive just like his brother has. Happy first day of JK T! We're so proud of you!
