Christmas 2009!

In no particular order as Blogger makes that difficult - here are our Christmas 2009 pics! It was a great few days of celebrating and the boys had so much fun, which was our main goal!
Very excited to have the last 3 Magic Treehouse books in the series!

Trying to guess Daddy's Santa gift.
This is as ominous as it looks, believe me! Thankfully it's Nerf!I have to comment on this mask that T. is holding. He painted this. All by himself. I think that's pretty amazing since he's only 3 - and I am not at ALL biased! But look at the detail he did on it. Awesome job T!

Holiday Pretzel Treats

T. and I made some Holiday Pretzel treats today. Probably one of the easiest recipes I've ever made - even easier than the haystacks I make! He got to help with every step and loved it! And they are yummy too! First we put waffle pretzels on a cookie sheet.

Then we unwrapped Hershey's kisses and put one on each waffle pretzel

We sorted the M&Ms to get the festive ones! We couldn't find the Christmas M&Ms at Walmart or Fortinos.

The pretzels went in the oven until the kisses melted a bit. And then we quickly put M&Ms in the middle! In the fridge they went to harden - then we put them in little Christmas ziploc bags and voila! Instant treat to take to a party!

Here are the leftover M&Ms - minus the reds and greens. They look neat just themselves. Might make them again and use these colours.

Rejects

That's probably not the best term for these pictures as there are some amazing ones, but these are the ones we did not use for our calendar or Christmas cards this year. Some are hilarious and some are just super sweet. I applaud my husband for one: keeping these two very active boys interested and getting some amazing shots and two: for having fun while doing it!

Gingerbread House!

The boys decorated a gingerbread house after school today. To say that they ate a lot of candy is an understatement! They for sure had fun, which was the goal. T. kept 'accidentally' getting icing on his fingers and saying 'oh darn now I have to lick them again'.
